Research is the most effective way of communication for thinkers, undertaken on a systematic basis in order to increase the stock of knowledge, including knowledge of man, culture and society, and the use of this stock of knowledge to devise new applications.

The Arthashastra Society under ASBECC of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce invites the undergraduate and postgraduate economics level thinkers to present their research papers on the epitome platform at CONVERSANCE’16.
The broad theme for the research is-“DIGITAL INDIA- ECONOMY, WELFARE AND YOUTH”. Please note that the theme is only suggestive in nature and is open to the team's interpretation. The papers deviated from the theme are also entertained. No biasness would be done in accordance of theme.

Friedman in his book “Is the world really flat? Views the world as a level playing field in terms of commerce, where all competitors have an equal opportunity, in the Marxian thought of economics- shift from capitalist mode of production to socialism.
But the debate is are we really? Is the growth equal for everyone? Let’s look upon the data and anecdotes to find the truth. Let’s do some work upon the government policies to evaluate there effectiveness. Will the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of DIGITAL INDIA be a success.

ROUND 1:
Teams will be required to submit a 200 word abstract for their power point presentation. The abstract should include the rationale and objectives of the study and clearly discuss the research methodology (if any) they intend to employ in the presentation. The motivation behind the particular area of study should be mentioned in the abstract. 
Format for the abstract:
1. Word limit of the abstract = 200 words
2. The cover page of the abstract should include: title of the presentation, name of the participant(s), name of the college, name of the department, email id, contact number, year of study
3. All abstracts should be submitted as a Word Document or PDF file titled, "CollegeName_Participant'sName"

ROUND 2:
The shortlisted 10 teams will be required to submit their complete power point presentation. This will not be a competitive round.

Deadline: 2nd March' 2016, 11:59 PM

ROUND 3:

The shortlisted teams will be required to present their presentation in front of the judges and other participants, within stipulated minutes. This will be followed by a Q&A round by the judges and fellow participants. All tables and figures in the presentation, if any, must contain proper titles and references. All presentations should be original works of the authors. Plagiarized presentations will be rejected.
