Is media influencing the psychological make-up of the citizens of a nation? And is it for the better or the worse?

Can the modern nation states do without it?

With this LSR College presents before you the motion for the Annual Turncoat Debate at Juxtapose 2016 - "This house rejects all forms of media for the survival of a modern nation state".

The stage is set for your wits, words and analogies. So come forward and let the people know your views for the same.
 

RULES:

1) Total time given to each participant is four minutes, in which she/he is expected to speak both for and against the motion.
2) The event is bilingual.
3) A warning bell shall be rung at 3 minutes 30 seconds.
4) There will be no elimination round.
5) Participants will be marked negatively for exceeding the time limit.
6) The markers for judging are:
- Speech
- Argument formulation
- Content and matter
